Please disable Reset Protection in Settings before attempting to reset your device. Resetting the phone with Reset Protection enabled will permanently lock the device. Also Reset Protection will no longer function. This means that if a Windows Phone 8.1 device is lost or stolen, the owner will not be able to remotely track the phone, lock the phone, reset the phone to factory settings, and/or erase the stored data.
